Del Mar

Del Mar is an upscale community located just a half-hour drive from downtown San Diego. Del Mar maintains a feeling of a cozy small-town. The economy is strong. In the past ten years, Del Mar has benefited from the explosive growth of nearby biotech and wireless communication industries of San Diego. Award-winning schools are administered by Del Mar Union and San Dieguito school districts. Many opportunities for continuing education are available within a half hour’s drive including the University of California, San Diego; the University of San Diego; and San Diego State University. Great recreational opportunities also abound, including many golf courses, beaches, festivals, and the cultural offerings of the city of San Diego. And Del Mar boasts one of the most agreeable climates in the western United States. Winter temperatures rarely dip below 60 degrees and summer temperatures peak in the low 90s. Real estate offerings consist primarily of lovely single-family homes and estates, many with spectacular ocean views. A few condos and townhouses can also be found.
